The word Yoga means Unity. This is the original mind/body/spirit practice, the original enlightened exercise. The principles of yoga inform all practice at Equipoise: non-violence, truth, and clarity. Clients and students are encouraged to listen to their bodies, to understand how to expand and explore their limits without harming themselves, and to see clearly and accept where they are now. Understanding that process is continual, there is no final destination except well-being and health.

In the Asanas or postures of yoga, we find movement within stillness. Holding an ever increasing awareness of muscle, bone, and breath action, abiding in a dynamic pose can be challenging and calming at the same time.
