All living things change, grow and evolve – ballet is no exception. Though the demands of the profession continue to increase, ballet training has remained basically unchanged from what it was 100 years ago. We can stand on our magnificent tradition and still continue to explore and grow, becoming more attuned to contemporary students, their bodies, and their lives.

Using contemporary understandings of anatomy and exploring the use of imagery and imagination, ballet technique becomes more efficient, refined, and meaningful.

Issues that inhibit progress, including diet, self-confidence, awareness, and body image, are always invited to be a part of any student’s exploration.
