What is the difference between what you do and what other teachers do?
For me pilates is both exercise And therapy. It is good preventive medicine as well as a super training technique. Each client comes in with special needs, and I make sure those needs are addressed by helping them understand how best to help themselves with exercises they can do on their own. My goal is for my clients Not to need me! I have reaped enormous benefits from the work, and continue to do so. Pilates saved my career as a dancer, and I have come back from two severe abdominal surgeries using pilates. I believe that the more people understand about how their bodies work, the easier exercise becomes. Pilates is a tool for understanding how your body can work more efficiently. Every teacher has their particular style of working which flavours both the atmosphere in their studios and the feel of the workout. It is important that you find someone you feel comfortable with.

Can I do this every day?
Unlike weight-training, pilates can be safely done daily.

Will my insurance pay for pilates?
Some insurance carriers will pay for pilates sessions done under the supervision of a physical therapist. Check with your physician for referrals. Equipoise does not take insurance.
